Study. Dave Pelzs Short Game Bible.

This first book I am going to study and focus a large part of my game on is this book. I will spend 15 minutes a day studying it and recording key notes and thoughts here.

"

The scoring game occurs with 100 yards. 60 - 65% of all golf shorts occur within 100 yards. 80% of shots golfers lose to par occur inside 100 yards.

Five games of golf - management game, mental game, putting game, power game and short game.

The golden 8. Best change of making a put is within 8 yards.

Book focuses on 1. What you need to learn. 2. How to learn it. 3. Methods for ingraining your learning so your result will serve you on the golf course.

To do - formulate a practise session which shows progress against stats. Thus yards ball from hole when hit from 10 yards, 15 yards, 20 yards, 25 yards, 30 yards, 35 yards, 40 yards, 45 yards... up to 100 yards. Calculate % error. For 100 yards away and 7 yards from pin - 7% error. From 10 yards away and 1 yard = 10% error.

To do - work out yardage hit with 9 iron, pw, 52, 56 and 60. Calculate carry and role. Calculate yardage roll. (this can be carried forward for all clubs)

To do - when working out stats work out scatter wheel for shots (short, left, right, long...)

Next time - pg 28 the conversion curve
